Park History

Water Wizz of Cape Cod, Inc. was established in 1982 with 4 serpentine slides and the newest thing on the market, 2 speed slides, the first water attractions in New England.

In 1984 Water Wizz expanded by adding bumper boats and an 18 hole mini golf course. Water parks were all the rage in the 80’s so the opportunity to join the water park industry was decided. In 1989 a lazy river, food concessions, and the longest tube ride (The Canal) in southern New England were constructed. In 1993 Harpoon Lagoon and Pirates Plunge were added followed by Squid Row in 1995. One of the goals was to put in a wave pool which finally came to fruition in 2000. Fast forward to 2019 and you will see Captain Kid’s island (2008), Thunder Falls (2013) and Devil’s Peak (2013).

Water Wizz was selected to be in two movies. “Grown Ups” in 2009 that brought in new patrons. In 2012 “The Way Way Back” which showcased our amazing facility was also filmed at the park. Check out our TV spot below!
